Aeroquip PTFE Hose

Aeroquip Flying A logo

Aeroquip PTFE hose is ideally suited for applications requiring maximum flexibility, high pressure ratings, chemical and temperature resistance, and extremely long life. Aeroquip PTFE hose offers the following advantages:

  • Flexible – The flexibility of Aeroquip PTFE hose provides excellent resistance to failure fatigue and flexing applications
  • Chemical Resistance – PTFE is inert, thus creating a nearly “universal” hose capable of handling the broadest range of applications.
  • Temperature Resistant – It even handles steam up to +388ºF. Other mediums can be transferred at -65ºF to +400ºF (-54ºC to +204ºC)
  • Non-Stick – PTFE hse is easily cleaned to maintain batch purity when using hose for several services.
  • Low Friction – PTFE hose exhibits low-pressure drop that remains constant because no deposits accumulate on the inside wall of the hose.
  • Moisture Resistant - Ideal for pneumatic systems requiring low dew point.
  • Non-Aging – Properties of PTFE hose do not change with age or exposure to weather.

PTFE APPLICATIONS

Omniflex can provide the right PTFE connection, whether it requires conductive, non-conductive, reduced bore, full bore, convoluted hose with “super-gem™” reusable fittings, crimp steel, stainless steel, or brass fittings, for the following applications or other demanding applications you may have:

Compressor Discharge Hose – the hose of choice for this application with operating temperatures above +300ºF. Less carbon particles deposit on PTFE due to its inherent release properties. PTFE is ideal for alternate cold and heat cycling.
Chemical Handling – PTFE can handle most all chemical transfer applications. Ideal for transfers between chemical pipework and in laboratories. Typical mediums are asphalt, dyes, glue, latex, lacquers and paints. Contact Omniflex to determine chemical resistance and end fitting compatibility.
Steam Applications – ideal for heating lines on dryers in processing plants and lines that provide steam to laundry garment presses
Fuel Lines – PTFE as a fuel hose is resistant to blending of additives in fuels. Aeroquip FC465 and FC469 hoses have conductive inner tubes that decrease the occurrence of static charge buildup
Moulding – steam up to 388ºF at 200 psi for plastic or rubber moulding presses
Urethane Foam Manufacturing – isocyanates and other activators at high pressures in foam manufacturing
Gas Transfer/Breathing Apparatus – low permeability to O2, N2, & Argon under high pressure
Marine Hydraulic Control & Power Systems – PTFE hose is resistant to fire resistant and water emulsion hydraulic fluids in marine systems and steering systems (trim tabs)
Adhesives – PTFE is ideally suited to handle adhesives used in shoe manufacturing, canning operations, packaging systems, and carbon manufacturing.

Agency Approvals include:
